Program Overview The Computer Support Specialist Certificate at Garden City Community College is designed

Computer Support Specialist Certificate - 16 credit hours
CSCI.CERTA: Those wanting to go straight into industry and gain skills in computer hardware and
software would choose the CSS Certificate. With the option to obtain the industry-recognized
CompTIA A+ Core 1/2 certification, students would be ready for an entry level job
in IT support.
Computer Support Specialist Network+/Security+ Certficate - 31 credit hours
CSCI.CERTB: As a continuation of the Computer Support Specialist Certificate, for students wanting
to go into the IT industry with the option of obtaining the CompTIA Network+ and Security+
industry-recognized certifications.
Associate in Applied Science for Computer Support Specialist - 60 credit hours
CSCI.AAS: Includes the Certificate A and Certificate B curriculum and technical and communication
areas of training include the development of skills in hardware, software, networking,
written communication, verbal communication, and problem solving.

Scholarship
Kansas Promise Scholarship Eligible This program qualifies for the Kansas Promise Scholarship, giving you the opportunity
to earn a degree or certificate at little to no cost.
The Kansas Promise is a “last-dollar” scholarship that covers tuition, fees, books, and other program-related expenses not already paid by other scholarships or grants. It’s available to eligible Kansas students enrolled in high-demand programs. In return, recipients agree to live and work in
Kansas for two years after completing their program.
