Your health and well-being matter. Garden City Community College offers a variety of free and confidential resources to support your physical health, mental wellness, and personal safety. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, need someone to talk to, or have a medical concern, help is available.

On-Campus Counseling

Genesis Family Health

Licensed mental health counselors from Genesis Family Health provide confidential counseling services for GCCC students, faculty, and staff.

Counselors can help with:

  • Stress and anxiety
  • Depression
  • Homesickness
  • Healthy relationships
  • Substance use and addiction
  • Suicide awareness
  • Self-care and overall mental wellness

Location: Broncbuster Room, Beth Tedrow Student Center (BTSC)
Hours:

  • Mondays: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesdays: 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Students may also meet with JoAnn Garrier, a licensed counselor, whenever the College is open.

Campus Health Services

College Health Nurse

The GCCC College Health Nurse provides health services for all students and employees.

Family Crisis Services

If you or someone you know has experienced domestic violence, dating violence, or sexual assault, confidential support is available through Family Crisis Services.

Although GCCC does not currently have an on-campus advocate, assistance is available anytime through their 24-hour hotline.

Report a Concern

Students, faculty, and staff can submit a report about concerning behavior, safety issues, or other incidents. Reports may also be submitted anonymously.
