Who is eligible?
All Garden City Community College alumni, students, parents, fans, and friends who are Kansas residents are eligible to apply for a plate.
If you own or lease a passenger vehicle, truck, or any vehicle under 20,000 lbs gross weight, you qualify for a Broncbuster License Plate!
How do I purchase a tag?
New tags can be purchased directly from your county treasurer office or online at: https://ikan.ks.gov/
You will pay a $25 BUSTER license tag royalty payment (tax-deductible), a one-time special plate issuance fee of $45.50 (subject to change), registration fees, and all applicable taxes directly to your county treasurer’s office.

How do I renew my tag?
Tag renewals are handled through your county treasurer or online via KS Web Tags, with a single payment covering both taxes and your $25 GCCC Alumni donation. No certificate is required, and once processed, your donation receipt will be mailed from the GCCC Alumni Office within 90 days.What is the $25 used for?
The $25 annual donation paid to the GCCC Alumni Office is tax-deductible. This donation, minus a small administrative fee, will be added to the GCCC’s alumni scholarship fund and programs in recognition of student achievements.What if I already renewed my tag this year?
You will be eligible to immediately switch from your current tag to the BUSTER tag for a minimal fee aside from the $45.50 special plate fee.Can I choose my tag number?
Yes! You can personalize your license plate. Your personalized plate can include up to 6 letters, numbers, and/or spaces (depending on the plate type). Check your desired plate's availability on the Kansas Department of Revenue website: https://www.kdor.ks.gov/Apps/MotorVehicles
