About the Program

Program Overview
The John Deere Dealer Technician Training Program is a two-year associate degree that prepares students for careers in servicing and maintaining John Deere equipment. Students learn how to troubleshoot, service, repair, and rebuild the machines that keep customers operating efficiently.

Specialized Training Options
Students can choose to focus on either agriculture and turf equipment or construction and forestry equipment. This allows them to tailor their training to match their specific career interests and goals.

Through a partnership with leading schools and John Deere dealer sponsors, students gain hands-on training and real-world experience. This prepares them to become skilled and valuable members of a dealership team after graduation.

Associate in Applied Science - 60 credit hours

JDAT.AAS : The Associate in Applied Science Degree in Agricultural Technology is a partnership with GCCC, John Deere, and a John Deere dealer organization. This credential fulfills the College’s mission of developing skills in communication and problem solving while promoting a strong work ethic. The semester-by-semester plans described below are general guidance. Students should work closely with their academic advisors to develop a plan that best meets their own individual needs and goals.

This program requires students to be sponsored by a local John Deere dealer before enrolling. Because of this, admission is a bit different than traditional programs and may take additional time.
