Program Overview
The Physics program at Garden City Community College helps students explore some of
the biggest questions in science, from how everyday technology works to the fundamental
nature of the universe. It provides a strong foundation for students pursuing STEM
careers.
Core Science Concepts
Students study the fundamental laws of nature, including mechanics, electromagnetism,
and thermodynamics. These concepts explain everything from motion and energy to how
modern devices function.
Hands-On Learning and Problem Solving
Through rigorous coursework and laboratory experiments, students develop advanced
analytical and problem-solving skills while learning how to apply physics principles
to real-world situations.
Career and Transfer Preparation
This program is ideal for students planning careers in physics, engineering, data
science, or other STEM fields, as well as those transferring to four-year universities.
